018: Kanban christmas 05

I'll post the last three cards together. I don't have anything too remarkable to say about them as you already know i love the images and the set :)

017: Kanban christmas 04

The next four cards were just a little matching set i made, they took just minutes to make but i think they look effective

016: Kanban christmas 03

I think this next card is really cute. I took the idea from the inspiration leaflet that came with the set as its just so cute :)

Please excuse the coffin in this next picture, its actually my brother's guitar case!

015: Kanban christmas 02

This card was meant to be a shaker card, but for some reason the "snow" in the middle doesn't work. I used the small left over blue dots from when i used my Martha stewart punch so maybe they are too big? Maybe i should have used glitter instead? Oh well, my friend liked it anyway and that's the main thing

014: Kanban christmas 01

The next few posts will be filled with a bunch of quick Kanban Christmas cards i made for this last Christmas. I have no idea if the set is still available, its actually the very first card making stash i owned. my mum bought it for me around three years ago from Create and Craft when i was first starting to think i could get into card making. Sadly i didn't get round to using it till this Christmas. I love the images, they are very cute and make nice quick cards and the quality is amazing.

013: Birthday card

This is the card that i made for my friend's birthday back in November. I hand glittered every single flower on the backing paper, but i think it looks good :) The image is coloured with promarkers, though by now i can't remember which ones i used. (same goes for the papers... i really am rubbish at this aren't i?). Anyway, images:

Close up of the image:

Not bad for my second attempt :)

I really need to learn how to take better pictures though. that will be my next thing to work on

012: Naughty me

I know, i'm so bad i haven't posted in here forever. I'm just so bad at keeping up. I do have a whole bunch of pictures of stuff i made last year which i will hopefully get around to posting soon. I will try to be better in future! In the meantime, here is a picture of the newest addition to my family

~

His name is Haru (Japanese for spring) and he is eight months old :)

011: Birthday faerie

Today's card features an image from my Enchanted CD rom. The artwork is by Linda Ravenscroft and i think her faeries are just beautiful.

Sorry for the bad photos, i'm still trying to figure out how to take good ones

The backing paper is also from the cd rom, and is a matching paper to the image. I really like the paper actually and will propably end up using it in lots of other ways too. The sentiment is from a do crafts pack, and i used a cuttlebug embossing folder on the yellow card and punched the border with the Martha Stewart poinsettia flourish punch. Everything else is from stock.

A close up of the beautiful faerie. She really is stunning.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Magical Monday - challenge 14: Flowers

010: First card!

This morning i was able to finally get my first card made. It took me a good couple of hours, with the colouring in of the image but i really enjoyed it. I am quite pleased with the result, but i still have so far to go. As i mentioned a couple of posts down i originally wanted to make this card for my brother's birthday, but my promarkers took too long to arrive so i've made it anyway.

The image by Kenny K. As soon as i saw it i knew it was perfect for my brother. He loves guitars and sexy girls, so two of his favourite things in one lol. I think she is lovely too, and whill colour her in purple and black and pink and black sometime in the future. She was coloured in promarkers as follows:

Clothes: Poppy, crimson, ruby, cool grey 5 and black
Guitar: Gold, cool grey 5, ice grey 5, ice grey 4
Hair: Black, cool grey 5, ice grey 4
Skin: Blush, almond, sunkissed pink

The papers are free papers that i downloaded from Jak Heath's blog. She has them in all different colours.

The red card is cardstock and the sentiment was from a stamp set i got from creat and craft.

A close up of the colouring. Can anyone give me tips on how to stop the colours bleeding outside the line? It got quite messy with that happening. I used super smooth printer paper, i don't know if that's why? Anyway, i think i have done an ok job for a first attempt. The black in the hair could do with being blended a bit more too, so i will work on that next time.

I wish to enter this card into the following two challenges:

Magical Monday: Gothic Angelz
Totally paperccrafts: Happy birthday

Thank you for looking :)
